Home Raiders are coming

This week I’m just a quick plug for a new game that’s coming to Kickstarter real soon (this week in fact).

The game is called ‘Home Raiders’ and is by Vesper-on-Games, who are responsible for the excellent Carnevale. Carnevale is another game I sponsored on Kickstarter and I have to say it’s been one of the best Kickstarter experiences I’ve had so far. Communication was good, it arrived when they said it would and the quality is excellent. If the Home Raiders Kickstarter is half as good it will still be better than some companies I’ve backed.

Anyway back to Home Raiders. The premise of the game is that it’s full scale (i.e. 1:1) and is all about Gremlin and Lilliputians running around your house (more factions to come) raiding for things like technology, keys and whatever else you want to use as objectives. As it’s full scale you can play on any surface in your home and using anything you want as scenery, so you can just use your dinning table covered with all your usual junk.

I’ve got one of the Gremlin figures as they shipped one with the Carnevale Kickstarter and had a chance to see the figures at Salute. All I can say is WOW, they are cool and I can’t way to see them on the tabletop. The rules are going to be very simple (about 4 pages) and is a real Beer and Pretzel family game.

You can see more by visiting their Facebook page “Home Raiders” where you will also find a great video from Beast of War that goes into lots of detail about the game.

So definitely check this one out, should be a blast.
