Quick Hint #46

Base Disk

When you’re sculpting it can often be difficult to work on the areas where the figure touches the ground, such as the feet, as the figure is often held on an uneven surface (such as a cork like I use). To get around this problem, place a plastic disk between the holder and the figure. This will give you a firm and flat surface to work against.

Personally I use a disk cut from an old figure clam shell case.

About Jarec

Long term Wargamer and dice hugger. My preferences tend towards Fantasy and Sci-Fi but I have a strong interest in the WWII and Vietnam gaming eras.
