Quick Hint #44

If like me and the majority of other gamers you like to glue flock (or static grass as it’s otherwise known)  onto your figure bases, you will know that sometimes it has a tendency to come loose over a relatively short period of time.

The reason for this is that the glue (assuming you are using PVA or school glue if you are American) is quite dense so the flock just lightly adheres to the surface rather than sinking into the glue.

To make your flock stick better simply add a little water to your PVA glue (I always aim for the consistency of double cream). This will allow the glue to run into the contours of the base and the flock to sink into the glue improving adhesion. Also if you are using a sponge type flock it will slightly absorb the glue improving adhesion even more.
