Quick Hint #3

Cork tiles make a great alternative for basing scenery pieces. They are not good for large items like big hills, but great for things like swamps, fields, forest areas, rock outcrops, small hills, building bases etc…

Often slightly cheaper than MDF or hardboard, a lot easier to work and lighter. If they are floor tiles just remember to lightly roughen the sealed (shiny/smooth) side before you try to glue anything to them.
